This page contains URLs to updates of MIB modules, the BOOK and PRO versions of SMICng, and the SMICng User's Guide. This page does not contain URLs to updates of the OEM version of SMICng. Information for OEM licensees to obtain updates was sent with their usage key assignment.

MIB Modules (up to RFC 2320)

• Get MIB modules in zip format named by RFC

BOOK Version of SMICng (is no longer available)

PRO Version of SMICng (v 2.2.07) and Beta 2.2.11, july 4, 2001

• To get your original or updated copy of the PRO version of SMICng, you must have
  a valid PRO or Enterprise License.
• Get copy of the PRO version and/or Beta

SMICng User's Guide (for SMICng v2.2.x)

There is one User's Guide for both Book and Pro version licensees. The User's Guide is a series of WEB pages that can be installed and read on your computer by your WEB browser. To install and use the User's Guide, download its archive, expand it, and access it locally with your WEB browser. Remember, only SMICng licensees have the right to download and install the User's Guide.

The previous version of the User's Guide (for the first released version of SMICng) was published as Appendix C in the book Understanding SNMP MIBs. This new version has the following changes and/or additions:

• Documents the utility programs that come with the compiler.
• Includes diagrams that show how the utility programs are used with SMICng to simplify setting up and using SMICng.
• Documents the new checking options.
• Explans each checking option and why it is needed.
• Documents the new options for using a parameter file with SMICng.
• Specifies detailed information about the rules SMICng uses in converting a MIB module in SMIv2 format to SMIv1 format.
• Documents the new output formats.
• Contains answers to frequently asked questions about SMICng.
